I just don’t get Coldplay. Chris Martin is adorable and clever and has a very pretty voice, yes, but for the life of me I can’t love his band. That “Paradise” song (assuming it’s called that, I don’t even want to bother to consult Google with this) has its moments, and I think “Clocks” was good years ago, but I just do not comprehend the passion some people have deep in their souls for this band. I mean, I’m sure it’s the exact thing they’d feel towards Joel Plaskett’s music – pff, who doesn’t love Joel Plaskett? Have you a head full of rocks?
But no, seriously, and I am not trying to start a fight here: If any Coldplay fan happens upon this site, please leave a comment because I would really love to wrap my head around this band but I just can’t find them all that great. There will be no argument, it’s just very unclear to me why they are so popular.
Keep in mind I am devoid of all emotion except for called-for internalized-rage and that could be the culprit here. Please! Show me how to love them!
