Reading Rainbow

Good idea, to whichever spammer suggested I put a Facebook ‘Like’ button on the posts.  (There are  a LOT of spammers.  I’m sorry if as a commenter I one day confuse you for one.  Just hiss at and scold me and I will learn the real deal.) We’ll get around to adding the Like button eventually.

I’m very quiet lately, and for this I apologize.  Miklos found me a Blackberry Playbook for an incredible deal and I am in love with BookReader (sorry Kobo; read a good review here).  It’s the first app I’ve ever actually paid for (99 cents), and I assure you it was a lot more worthwhile than some coffees I’ve purchased for two- or three-times the price.  It’s lasted longer than my cow fridge magnet that I got at the dollar store, whose magnets promptly broke off of the feet a day after.  So if you’re in the market for a better app than Kobo while using the Playbook, I encourage you to go for it.

I’m reading Bossypants by Tina Fey.  It is keeping me quiet and amused.

You have a good day now.  Maybe go to Walmart tonight when it slows down a bit at 3am.  It’s Christmas real, real soon, and your mom is understandably unhappy when you give her half-used body wash and a new comb because you waited til the last minute.

About Nikki

I've been writing since I was in kindergarten where I Crayola-markered an epic tale of a tiger and a balloon on a stack of lined papers folded into a booklet and stapled along the edge (carefully, and by my teacher). I love DIY, sewing, folksy music, animals and getting out to look at and listen to nature.
