Casey Loves this Record Player

The record player works! We tested it out last night with an old record Miklos’s parents loaned us. When Casey heard the music, she immediately ran upstairs. She came back down a few seconds later with her dead-duck toy and started squeaking away, seemingly to the tune of whichever song was playing. A Day Without a Dog

…or a few hours anyway. So rarely does the house smell as good as it does when there’s no Labrador to shed all over it. I love this dog (now) but I am always glad for these blue moon opportunities to thoroughly mop the hell out of the floors she encrusts with her poochy filth for hours every day. I start to feel old when the hydro company sends me an information packet complete with off-peak times graphed onto stickers and I wish they instead sent me magnets.
